The Christian Rome tour will guide you through the areas where sacrament and history meet. You shall visit the Basilica of Saint Peter in the Vatican, today one of the largest papal basilicas in Rome built in 1506 under Pope Giulio II, we will move onwards to the Vatican Museums founded by Pope Giulio II in the XVI century that exposes the largest collection of artwork accumulated over the centuries by Popes, the Sistine Chapel with the frescoes by Michelangelo and the papal apartments with frescoes by Raffaello. We will visit the Basilica of Saint John in Laterano that is the official ecclesiastical base for the Pope, the first of the four Papal basilicas and the most antique basilica in the Western world. The Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore that is one of the four Papal basilicas in Rome is found on the summit of the Esquilino hills. The Basilica of Saint Paul outside the walls of the city, is as well on of the four papal basilicas of Rome, the second largest after Saint Peter’s in the Vatican, and is at roughly two km outside the Aurelian walls (from which it’s name is derived) coming out of the Saint Paul exit and finally visiting the San Pietro in Vincoli where you will find the Moses from Michelangelo and the Basilica Saint Cross in Jerusalem where the relics of the cross have been preserved.

The duration of the tour is 8 hours.
